Right information report is that   Burundi, one of the world's poorest nations, is emerging from many year, ethnic-based civil war. Since independence in 1961, it has been plagued by tension between the dominant Tutsi minority and the Hutu majority. The ethnic violence sparked off in 1994 made Burundi the scene of one of Africa's most intractable conflicts. It is now beginning to reap the dividends of a peace process. But it faces the formidable tasks of reviving a shattered economy and of forging national unity. In 1993 Burundi seemed poised to enter a new era when, in their first democratic elections. Stability appears to be within reach after years of bloody conflict. The government and the last active rebel group signed a ceasefire in May 2008 .: Half the population lives below the poverty line. Coffee and tea account for most of the foreign currency earnings. Child human rights, Disability human rights, Housing human rights, Labor human rights, Refugee human rights, Reproductive Rights, Trafficking human rights are repeatedly being violated in Burundi and there is no check over it by Burundi
 administration and adequate redresses system is not available.

Burundi Guidance information report.
The Republic of Burundi is a member of  International organization founded as the Organization of African Unity to promote cooperation among the independent nations of Africa. It has ratified many UN Human Rights Conventions  and thus has made binding international commitments to adhere to the standards laid down in these universal human rights documents.  Burundi has ratified the Optional Protocols for these Conventions  , the inhabitants of Burundi and their representatives are able to invoke their human rights through these bodies. All inhabitants of Burundi may turn to the UN Human Rights Committee through optional protocol  procedure for violations of specific human rights .Since Burundi is an AU member, its citizens and NGOs may file complaints to the African Commission on Human and Peoplesí Rights. They may also file complaints according to the European Union guidelines (on Human Rights Defenders, Death Penalty and Torture) to Embassies of European Union Member States and the Delegations of the European Commission. Burundi has joined the International Criminal Court, it may thus be called upon in case of severe crimes.

Right information report is that  Administration human rights record remained poor; despite improvements in some areas.  Government Police forces continued to commit numerous serious human rights abuses.  UN officials report and local information report and international human rights repost do not support the Gove claim that the human rights situation had  improved since the Nkurunziza government , 2005.
